In response to customer requests, OAI had developed a 254nm waterproof probe for sterilization or purification and is used with OAI’s Model 308 handheld UV Light Meter or Model 656 UV Intensity & Energy Meter. This probe can be used outside a chamber filled with water or used submerged measuring in water; as UV light can pass through water.

Model 30 UV Light Source

The OAI Model 30 UV Light Source (shown with optional stand) consists of a stand-alone light source, constant intensity controller, and shutter timer.

The Model 30 UV Light Source is highly efficient and may be utilized in a variety of applications. Light is collected by an ellipsoidal reflector and focused using OAI’s proprietary optical integrator which produces a highly uniform UV beam at the exposure plane. Using the appropriate lamp (included with the system), this UV Light Source is available in various beam sizes up to 24in² with output spectra ranging from 220nm to 450nm. Output power ranges from 200W to 5kW. All OAI UV Light Sources are equipped with quick-change filter assemblies, enabling the user to customize the output spectrum.

Dual channel feedback circuits control the light source intensity and keep it constant over the lifetime of the lamp. The shutter timer (0.1–.999 seconds) activates the light source shutter. An interface for controlling other shutter speeds is also available.
